The biggest and most exciting change is a new focus on adventure. Our year will be broken up by several adventures that (eventually) the Beaver Scouts themselves will pick. The meetings leading up to the big adventure will be spent teaching the skills the kids will need to participate.

Our first big adventure will be "Lost in the Woods"; a day camp in December that will allow the youth to practice their survival skills in a controlled environment.

Tonight we will be introducing the adventure theme to the kids, and have them help decide what kind of activities we should do at our adventure, and what we need to do to prepare.
